4-H Wants You To “Get Your Green On”
November 1, 2011
Show Your 4-H Colours event encourages everyone to wear green.
To help kick off National 4-H Month in November, 4-H Members, Leaders, Alumni and Supporters will be wearing green on November 2 for the annual Show Your 4-H Colours event.
“4-H has helped to make me the person I am today. For over 98 years, this program has touched thousands of lives across Canada, including my own and those of my children. As we close in on the 100th anniversary milestone I am proud to be the President of the Canadian 4-H Council at this exciting time.”
said Rob Black, president of the Canadian 4-H Council
As one of Canada’s longest-running youth organizations, 4-H has played an important role in the development of Canadian youth for 98 years. Wearing green on November 2 will help celebrate that role and remind 4-H members and alumni about the positive experiences they have had.
4-H is one of the country’s longest-running youth organizations, offering fun, excitement and learning for youth in large and small communities across Canada. More than 8,600 trained volunteer Leaders help about 26,000 4-H Members develop self-confidence and learn a wide variety of skills through hands-on project work.
Show your support for National 4-H Month and wear green on November 2, 2011!
