Bayer CropScience and UPGC Continue United Potato Partners Program

Bayer CropScience and United Potato Growers of Canada (UPGC) recently entered into an agreement that will see Bayer CropScience continue into a second year of participation with the UPGC – United Potato Partners program.
UPGC will continue to focus on fulfilling its goals, including the creation of databases and educational seminars that provide timely information to producers across the nation.
“We are pleased that Bayer CropScience has recognized the UPGC initiatives as important to the future sustainability of potato production,” says Ray Keenan, UPGC Chairman. Keenan also stated that “Bayer CropScience products and potato industry participation are key ingredients to successful Canadian potato production.”
“UPGC offers potato growers valuable information to help increase the productivity and profitability of their operations,” says David Kikkert, Portfolio Manager, Horticulture for Bayer CropScience. “The response we received from growers that particpated in the 2009 seminars was amazing, and we are proud to once again be part of the United Potato Partners program for 2010.”
