Bayer CropScience has been selected as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People

June 2, 2010

First published in 2001, the Canada's Top Employers for Young People competition is organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation's best benefits for younger workers.  Bayer CropScience Canada was selected for 2010 as one of those leaders in attracting and retaining younger employees to their organization.

Bayer CropScience has been recognized as a top employer on numerous occasions and was selected as one of Alberta’s top 50 employers in October 2009.

“This is another excellent achievement,” said Kamel Beliazi President & CEO of Bayer CropScience. “Here at Bayer we pride ourselves on retaining the best people for the business. Innovation is a leading strategy for our company; we invest in and support our people so they can progress in a successful, balanced working environment, one that leads the way and demonstrates innovation in everything we do.”

Bayer CropScience was chosen for its excellent summer associate program as they hire over 135 summer students each year. Other highlights include Bayer’s benefits, education and development programs such as the customized MBA-style training program in conjunction with the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.

“Once again we are delighted with this recognition” added Nicole Davis, HR Director, Bayer CropScience.  “We always aim to offer programs and support for all of our staff, and we believe it is important to get a good work/life balance.  This is a quality we uphold at Bayer CropScience and helps to ensure we maintain our position as a top Canadian employer.”
