Growers can make TraitGuard reimbursement claims for their InVigor or other LibertyLink canola until June 30, 2010
June 21, 2010
TraitGuard is part of the Liberty & Trait Agreement (LTA) and is available to protect InVigor® and other LibertyLink® canola growers from early season crop establishment risk. Acres taken out of production or acres reseeded can qualify for TraitGuard. The minimum claim is 40 acres and growers must register their claim with the LTA Call Centre by June 30, 2010. Retails are not involved in the TraitGuard claim process.
Due to this spring’s difficult growing conditions, many more TraitGuard claims are expected by the end of June. Growers should assess all of their LibertyLink canola fields for crop establishment, especially those that have been seeded late. To register a claim, growers need to contact the LTA Call Centre at 1-888-283-6847 by the June 30th deadline. The LTA Call Centre hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm MDT from Monday to Friday. When calling in, growers need to have their LTA number and the legal land descriptions for the areas being claimed.
Please contact the Call Centre if you have any questions.
