Pan American Weed Conference - Day Two

Experts from universities, industry and Bayer CropScience are attending the first Pan American Weed Conference to share concepts and innovative herbicide technologies from January 19 – 21, 2010 in Miami. The Pan American Weed Resistance Conference brought together some 200 scientists, universities and research institutions and practitioners from North and South America to exchange experiences dealing with weed resistance and the propagation of practical and sustainable solutions. This is the coverage of the three day event.

Not your father's atrazine? Weeds that quickly developed resistance to triazine herbicides are still around today, but growers changed the way they used the products, such as the corn herbicide atrazine. Thus, over 40 years later, the chemical remains a key component of corn growers' weed control programs.
