Purple blotch

Purple blotch is a disease of onions that affects leaves that have already been attacked by insects or other pathogens. Lesions are brown with reddish-purple margins. Older onion leaves are usually more susceptible than younger leaves. Leaves are weakened, and can potentially die.

Bulbs are also at risk of infection at harvest and into storage.
