Sooty blotch

Sooty blotch is a fruit disease of apples.  Brown to green, irregularly shaped lesions appear on the surface of the fruit. The lesions will vary in size, and can grow together to cover large areas. Visual symptoms on the fruit can take up to 25 days to appear following infection. Ideal conditions for fungal growth are temperatures between 18 and 21° C, and almost 100 percent relative humidity.
