Grasshopper

Grasshopper eggs are large in relation to the size of the insect and are usually laid beneath the surface of the ground by the female. Grasshoppers usually feed on forbs and grasses but, when abundant, they often will feed on vegetables and field crops, especially wheat, oats, and barley.
