The plum curculio adult is about 4 mm to 6 mm in length, greyish-brown with grey and white patches on the back. Their snout is about a quarter of their body length.
Mature larvae are about 8 mm in length with a brown head.
Damage includes small feeding holes on young fruit from early season feeding, crescent shaped scars on fruit around egg laying sites, and small holes on fruit from summer feeding by adults.
