Lady's-thumb




Lady's-thumb is an annual weed.  It has alternate, lance-shaped leaves. The leaves usually have a purplish blotch on the upper surface. There are no hairs or tiny glands on the lower surface of the leaves. A paper-like ocrea (sheath) has stiff bristly hairs.
