Volunteer canola
(c)

Volunteer canola is an annual weed. Its leaves are alternate with irregularly lobed margins. Leaves emerge one at a time and form a basal rosette. It is very competitive in cereal crops and should be controlled early.

20 plants per square meter can reduce wheat yields by 15 percent. It is one of the top 20 weeds in Western Canada.
