Wild potato vine

Wild potato vine has large petunialike flowers (2 in. to 3 in. in diameter) with five petals. The interior of the flower is red-purple with pink stripes. It is found on dry soils, particularly along roadsides and in fields.

Wild Potato Vine is widely distributed and blooms from May through September. It is a host for the sweet potato weevil, and can be a troublesome weed.
