An Excellent Investment to Protect Against Fusarium Head Blight
Fusarium head blight, a fungal disease caused by fusarium graminearum, reduces yield, thousand kernel weight (TKW), quality, feed value and marketability. The fungal organism causes fusarium damaged kernels (FDK), which appear shrunken, shrivelled and bleached. The fungus also produces a mycotoxin called deoxynivalenol (DON), which presents a significant health risk to humans and can cause feed refusal. Fusarium head blight can reduce yields by up to 30 percent.
Sprayed at flowering, Folicur provides highly effective protection against fusarium head blight. Research shows that wheat treated with Folicur produces higher yields, higher TKW, fewer FDK and, most importantly, lower DON levels.
