Movento

Application & Benefits

Overview

  • Group 23 foliar insecticide
  • Unique two-way systemic control of sucking insect pests in fruit and vegetable crops
  • Long-term control of immature and adult female stages of aphid, various species of scale, mealybug and Phylloxera
  • Excellent, long-term control of pests that hide in above-ground and below-ground plant parts – places where products with only contact or translaminar activity often miss
  • Travels up and down the plant to protect new leaves and roots
  • Residual activity continues to protect new growth
  • New mode of action for aphid control provides resistance management and rotational option

Application Tips

  • Must be applied with a non-ionic adjuvant (such as Agral 90) at 0.2% volume to volume
  • Most effective when applied as a preventative or threshold treatment – prior to the establishment of a highly damaging pest population
  • Good coverage is important – product will not move to older leaves, as these leaves are not being fed by the plant’s transport system
  • Apply when sufficient leaf tissue is present to allow for maximum uptake of Movento by the plant
