When it comes to your farm, you only want the best. And Raxil® is just that. Raxil protects against fusarium and a host of other seed and seedling diseases. It offers one of the most complete disease labels on the market and is the toughest opponent against true loose smut in barley while delivering a one-two punch to both seed- and soil-borne fusarium. Simply put, there’s just nothing like it.
Cereal growers identify smut and the fusarium disease complex as their two most serious early-season disease concerns – and Raxil gets them both. However, its effectiveness goes well beyond these two infections, protecting against all of the most serious early-season diseases in wheat, barley and oats.
It’s What’s Underneath That Counts
Above ground you’ll see a healthy, prosperous cereal crop. But below the surface? That’s where the action is. Raxil WW provides unmatched protection from the most serious seed- and soil-borne diseases there are, including true loose smut, fusarium and much, much more. Not to mention the added protection of Stress Shield® to further increase plant health and eliminate the threat of wireworms.
What makes Raxil WW so effective?
- Raxil WW is a water-based seed treatment for use on-farm or in commercial applications
- It is specifically designed to protect cereal crops against wireworm damage
- Packaging the power of Raxil MD with the strength of Stress Shield gives you a convenient way to defend against the yield losses caused by both wireworms as well as seed- and soil-borne diseases in wheat, barley and oats
The Stress Shield Difference
Stress Shield is a neonicotinoid insecticide engineered to improve plant health to help cope with stresses and fight off pests. Under ideal conditions plants will dedicate available energy to increase growth and seed production. When a plant encounters pests, drought, heat or other stressors, their response is to re-direct energy stores to further protect themselves and initiate repairs.
Stress Shield curtails the negative effects of plant stresses by supplying a supplemental energy pool for internal repair and coping systems.
Stress Shield results in:
- Higher performing root systems
- Improved vigour
- Robust growth and increased yield
See the Stress Shield difference for yourself. The plant on the left (treated with Stress Shield) has a far more robust root structure and plant thickness than the control sample on the right.
Additionally, through ingestion and/or contact, the active ingredient in Stress Shield (imidacloprid) prevents wireworms from feeding on cereal crops, forcing them into a prolonged coma-like state.
Raxil MD is a highly effective systemic seed treatment for wheat, barley and oats. Its ready-to-use micro-dispersion formula makes it the easiest treatment to apply for both commercial and on-farm treatment.
The particle size used in the suspension is much finer than most formulations. And finer particle size makes the suspension much thinner and more stable, allowing for more thorough seed coverage. This means you get uniform seed coverage for superior plant protection and an increased return on investment.
Raxil MD has a freezing point of (-10°C) and its viscosity does not change until it actually freezes - unlike other seed treatments available. If the product does freeze, thaw to 5°C to 10°C and mix thoroughly. It’s easy to use, even easier to apply and its low dust formulation makes it ideal for commercial or on-farm treating.
Get Your Seed Tested
Warm and moist early season conditions are a breeding ground for disease, making it more important than ever to test your seed. However, seed-borne diseases are present across a range of soil temperature and soil moisture conditions.
