New "L Series" Hybrids for 2012!
InVigor hybrid canola has always been about maximizing profit while minimizing grower risk. In 2011 we launched the new InVigor “L Series” with InVigor L130 and InVigor L150. Both hybrids exhibited exceptional stress tolerance and yielded over 136% and 143% of checks, respectively.
This year we’re proud to build on that success with four NEW innovative “L Series” hybrids including our first clubroot resistant and sclerotinia tolerant InVigor hybrids:
- InVigor L120: Early maturing hybrid for all growing zones, yields at 134% of checks
- InVigor L135C: Clubroot Resistant hybrid with InVigor yields at 138% of checks
- InVigor L154: Early maturing hybrid for all growing zones, yields at 141% of checks
- InVigor L159: Early maturing hybrid for all growing zones, yields at 140% of checks
InVigor is the highest ranking canola – again.
InVigor hybrids have consistently produced the top yields in the public co-op trials since they were entered in 1996. The results are in – nothing outperforms InVigor.

It is always important to be aware of the maturity of the canola seed you are purchasing. Use this chart to help you make timing decisions and further reduce your risk.
All maturity ratings are based on the average of each hybrid across Western Canada from both internal and external trial data.
New InVigor hybrids - New naming system
With the launch of the new InVigor “L Series” in 2011, Bayer CropScience introduced a new naming system. This signifies a step-up in the performance of our new products and sets the stage for future innovations and technologies planned for InVigor.
Every character within the new InVigor naming system provides you with specific product information.
L135C - The initial letter designates herbicide tolerance (L for LibertyLink®)
L135C - First number specifies the series (1, 2, 3, etc.)
L135C - Second number represents maturity rating (i.e. 3 – early, 5 – mid, 7 – long)
L135C - Third number signifies the hybrid’s place within the series
L135C - The last letter is used to highlight specific agronomic characteristics of the hybrid (i.e. C for clubroot resistance, S for sclerotinia tolerance)
